Preparing to Take Your Abortion Pills

Not sure where to start? Here are a few common questions we can help answer before you schedule.
How does the package arrive?
The medication ships overnight in a plain FedEx envelope or box. The only label is the pharmacy's initials — nothing says "abortion," "medication," "prescription," or "pharmacy." We'll text or email your tracking number.
Do I have to take the pills with someone else there?
It's not required, but it's a good idea. Complications are rare, but having someone nearby means they can help get you to care if needed. If you're not ready to share why, you can just tell them you're not feeling well and ask them to check on you every 2 hours.
What if I really don't want anyone to know?
That's okay. You can still stay safe on your own, just make sure someone you trust checks in on you regularly, even without knowing the full reason.
What should I do if something feels wrong?
Call us first. We'll help you figure out whether you need to go to a hospital or if urgent care is enough.
How close do I need to be to a hospital?
Plan to stay within 60 minutes of a hospital or urgent care facility during the process, just in case.
Will medical staff know I took the abortion pill if I go to a hospital?
No. Abortion and miscarriage look identical medically. If you're worried about judgment or getting in trouble, you can simply say you're having a miscarriage, there's no way for staff to tell the difference.
